Peter Williams Flooring and Ceilings Limited has been trading since 1970 in 2006 The company became limited. Steve Penrose purchased half the company from Peter Williams as the company became Limited. Since then Steve Penrose has focused on expanding into the office Design Fit out market. Over the last 3 years Steve Penrose has brought out the remaining shares from Peter Williams and Steve is now the sole owner of the company. In December 2008 I installed a basic server system into Peter Williams Ltd. Myself Anthony Hudson and Steve Penrose discussed the opportunity to provide his clients with computer, network and printing solutions. A Month later I left my previous job and started the NEW IT Department of Peter Williams Limited.
Within a month we had started to provide computers laptops and basic printers to Small to Medium Business customers. In our second month we landed our first large deal. We provided a company with a complete new network with Servers, Firewalls Routers and all the Client Computers/Laptops? We also provided a support contract to our customer. Then we decided to brand our computer department so we decided to trade under the name PW Computers. After 6 Months we now have 3 Dedicated Members of IT Staff, and we are partners with Symantec, Bull guard, ESET, CISCO Dell and many other large names.
PW Computers originally supplied only computer services. Since then we have taken on more roles including Software Based PBX Phone Systems which require a server to run from. www.3cx.com. We have also taken on Web Hosting and offsite backup solutions from server we co locate to maidenhead datacenter. Another service we have recently taken on for Cornwall is Energy Metering which is growing very well.
We have registered the name PW Computers UK Limited with company’s house. As we plan to move our accounts and staff into a separate company but we will still remain Sister Companies, Company No. 06814671.
We plan to continue to expand in Cornwall and by the end of 2010 we plan to open a new office in Brentwood, Essex we already have a fairly large customer base in and around Essex due to the wide range of services we provide.
All of our Staff attend training provided by our current partners, We try to maintain a very high quality of staff sales and technical knowledge.
